I'm Uma, I'm on a mission to wake people up to their innate well-being.

I’m a coach who helps people find real freedom from incessant worry, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and unhealthy habits. I love colourful sunsets, pistachio gelato, mangosteens, and way too much peppermint mocha creamer in my coffee.

I’ve always been curious about the human psyche. At my core, I am a seeker of truth which has led me to explore the nuances of being human. In my early twenties, I was studying psychology in college but outside of the classroom, I was intrigued with spirituality and personal growth. I also experienced feeling unworthy of love and belonging, uncomfortable in my sensitive, introverted skin, as well as bouts of anxiety, panic attacks, and OCD.

I remember immersing myself in books like A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson, The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer and A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle at Barnes & Noble, Union Square, NYC; And the works of amazing humans like Brené Brown and her TED talk on the power of vulnerability. I’ve explored self-help, silent meditation retreats, and energy healing. But none of these created a deep, lasting shift within me, until I stumbled upon this…

We’re all fundamentally well.
Well-being is our natural, default state.

The most profound epiphany I had about life was when I stumbled upon a psychospiritual understanding of the human experience and how it makes navigating life much easier. I always felt something was missing in traditional psychology; the medical model of diagnoses and the idea that there is something ‘wrong’ with you which needs fixing didn’t resonate with me. What I uncovered was the missing link that gave me a depth of understanding in an experiential way, beyond mere textbook or conceptual knowledge.

The mainstream dialogue about mental health, although well-intentioned, is missing a fundamental understanding of how humans work! And this understanding changes everything. This is the future of psychology and mental well-being – however it’s not new. Rooted in ancient wisdom and eastern philosophy, it paves the way for real shifts in consciousness.

Official Bio

Uma Rajeendra is a mental health coach and founder of the Wellness Space for Insights. She is on a mission to wake people up to their innate well-being. She helps people find real, profound freedom from habits such as incessant worry, anxiety, panic attacks, depression and insecurity.

Her work is based on a psychospiritual understanding of being human, a groundbreaking, insight-based approach to psychological well-being. This approach differs from traditional psychology that offers quick fixes and short-term relief and instead explores the principles that underpin our human experience.

Uma has a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Denison University, USA and is a graduate of Dr. Amy Johnson’s coach training program. Ever since she was little, she’s been curious about the human psyche and has immersed herself in the field both formally and informally, determined to help ease human suffering.
